Test Manager

Job Description:

• 10+ years of experience in developing and implementing test strategies and plans, including test objectives, scope, resource allocation, and schedules.
• Experience with test management tools (e.g., HP ALM, JIRA, TestRail).
• Excellent leadership and communication skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB) may be preferred.
• Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and developers to understand project requirements and determine the testing approach.
• Build and lead a team of testers, assigning tasks, and providing guidance and mentorship.
• Ensure the team has the necessary skills and resources to perform their roles effectively.
• Oversee the execution of test cases, including functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
• Monitor progress, identify issues, and ensure timely resolution of defects.
• Implement and enforce quality assurance processes and standards.
• Conduct reviews and audits of test artifacts to ensure compliance with best practices and project requirements.
• Evaluate the feasibility of test automation and develop automated test scripts where applicable.
• Manage and maintain the automation framework and tools.
• Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
• Ensure clear and concise communication of test results to project stakeholders.
• Identify and assess testing risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Report risks to project management and make recommendations for risk reduction.
• Define and track key testing metrics to measure the effectiveness and progress of testing activities.
• Prepare and present test status and defect reports to project stakeholders.
• Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging testing technologies.
• Implement process improvements and optimizations in the testing methodology.
• Nice to have domain experience – Healthcare / Mobile / BFSI domain and business experience.
