Job Title: QA Manager (Automation & Manual Testing)
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced QA Manager to lead and scale a high-performing quality assurance team responsible for both manual and automated testing. This role will drive quality strategy, ensure seamless collaboration across engineering, product, and DevOps teams, and establish robust testing frameworks that support fast, reliable releases.
Qulaification/Skill set
- 1214+ years of experience in QA, with at least 35 years in a leadership role.
- Strong experience in both manual and automation testing.
- Hands on experience in Playwright and TypeScript
- Proven experience managing cross-functional QA teams.
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, etc.).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
- Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Knowledge of API testing (Postman, RestAssured, etc.).
- Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience in scaling QA processes in fast-paced environments.
- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling).

Key Responsibilities
- QA Strategy & Leadership
- Define and implement a comprehensive QA strategy covering manual and automated testing.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a cross-functional QA team (manual + automation engineers).
- Establish quality standards, best practices, and testing guidelines across the organization.
- Drive a quality-first culture within engineering and product teams.
- Test Planning & Execution
- Oversee test planning, test case design, execution, and reporting.
- Ensure thorough test coverage across functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
- Manage risk-based testing approaches for complex systems.
- Automation & Tools
- Own and evolve the test automation strategy, frameworks, and tools.
- Ensure automation is scalable, maintainable, and integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
- Increase automation coverage and reduce manual regression efforts over time.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Product Managers, Developers, DevOps, and UX teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
- Participate in sprint planning, design discussions, and release readiness reviews.
- Act as the quality advocate in cross-functional decision-making.
- Release Management & Quality Metrics
- Define and track key quality metrics (defect leakage, test coverage, automation ROI, etc.).
- Ensure timely and high-quality releases by enforcing entry/exit criteria.
- Provide clear reporting on QA status, risks, and improvements.
- Process Improvement
- Continuously identify gaps and improve QA processes, tools, and workflows.
- Implement shift-left testing practices and support early defect detection.
- Drive adoption of modern QA practices (e.g., API testing, performance testing, security basics).
