Project Description:

Test Lead for a leading Digital Bank as part of Core Banking Transformation

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the planning, monitoring, and control of the testing activities and tasks.
  • Actively participate in workshops, specification reviews and technical reviews.
  • Implement testing as per Test Strategy and provide inputs to Test Strategy.
  • Create Test Plan, derive project-specific estimates.
  • Plan and coordinate test activities/deliverables in accordance with test schedule.
  • Facilitate the daily scrum and sprint initiatives.
  • Communicate with stakeholders & provide Test Reports.
  • Raise & manage project-specific risks and issues.
  • Measure the quality of work & asses team members work.
  • Capture traceability metrics (requirements, test cases, test execution, defects).
  • Build team & necessary documentation to enable mentoring of new members.
  • Report upon testing activities including Test Summary Reports
  • Review testing entry/exit criteria
  • Identify test environment requirements
  • Coordinate shakedown testing for project test environments.
  • Management of test data requirements

Mandatory Skills Description:

  • 10+ years of experience in quality assurance
  • 5+ years of experience as a Test Manager
  • Participating in preparation of quality assessments, reports, and metrics formulating go-no go statement based on reports and metrics, test progress and defect status
  • Strong experience in testing Internet Banking and mobile banking applications.
  • Strong experience in testing of Core Banking systems.
  • Experience in Australian payments including Direct Entry, Cheque, BPAY, Funds Transfers and New Payment Platform.
  • Presenting test improvements and developments in daily progress meetings including planned vs actuals.
  • Acting as the main liaison communicating between the team the rest of the internal and external organization
  • Lead execution of planned test cases, ensuring that all test results are correctly recorded against the system
  • Develop detailed work plans for engagements, status tracking and reporting, and production of high quality deliverables for clients
  • Responsible for all Test, Test Tools Development and configuration management activities
  • Experience in test planning and strategies
  • Extended experience in SDLC and STLC
  • Software Quality Assurance (SQA) - Business Model understanding, Requirements engineering, Architecture and development, Testing and quality and social skills and leadership
  • QA methodology - Waterfall, Agile and Devops
  • Technical expertise - Expertise in the software architecture layers - Presentation, Logical and Data around on premises and cloud
  • Testing and quality - Manual and automation testing, test process management and testing governance and guidelines
  • Social skill - Interpersonal skills, Stakeholder management, conflict management
