About Role:

We are seeking an experienced Test Lead with strong expertise in the Life Insurance domain and hands-on experience with Life Asia (AS400). The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading testing efforts, managing test teams, and ensuring high-quality delivery across projects involving policy administration systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end testing activities for Life Insurance applications, particularly Life Asia (AS400 platform).
  • Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and technical designs to develop comprehensive test strategies and plans.
  • Manage and mentor a team of testers, ensuring effective task allocation and timely delivery.
  • Coordinate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve defects.
  • Design, review, and approve test cases, test scenarios, and test data.
  • Oversee execution of functional, integration, system, and regression testing.
  • Ensure proper defect tracking, reporting, and resolution using standard tools.
  • Drive test automation initiatives where applicable.
  • Prepare and present test status reports, metrics, and quality dashboards to stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with QA standards, processes, and best practices.
  • Support UAT cycles and production releases.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 2–3 years in a Test Lead role.
  • At least 3 years of strong domain knowledge in Life Insurance (policy lifecycle, underwriting, Surrender, Calculations, Claims).
  • Hands-on experience with Life Asia application on AS400 platform.
  • Experience in managing QA teams and delivering large-scale projects.
  • Proficiency in test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, ALM).
  • Strong understanding of SDLC/STLC and Agile methodologies.
  • Ability to work with legacy systems and modern integration environments.
