Test Lead - EOL

Responsibilities

• Own End-of-Line (EOL) test architecture, including functional, parametric, and RF final test strategies aligned to product and customer requirements.
• Review RFQs, specifications, BOMs, drawings, and customer requirements to define compliant and executable test solutions.
• Develop test estimates covering station count, throughput, fixture requirements, test equipment, NRE, capex, and implementation timelines.
• Define first-pass yield assumptions, retest strategies, fault coverage expectations, and production test readiness criteria.
• Establish calibration methodologies, uncertainty budgets, correlation requirements, and measurement-system validation plans.
• Prepare technical calculations, test capacity models, and supporting evidence for proposal reviews, costing models, and management approvals.
• Support supplier evaluations, test-equipment selection, fixture design reviews, and make-versus-buy assessments.
• Drive alignment across design, process, manufacturing, quality, automation, and supply chain teams to ensure robust test coverage and manufacturability.
• Define acceptance criteria, validation requirements, traceability expectations, and deployment plans for NPI and production.
• Analyze test strategy risks, identify assumptions and gaps, and develop mitigation plans to support bid commitments.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, ECE, Mechatronics, Industrial, Production Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Postgraduate specialization in Electronics, Test Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Strong expertise in Functional Test, Parametric Test, RF Test, and End-of-Line test methodologies.
• Deep knowledge of DFT principles, fault coverage analysis, test-program estimation, fixture development, and production test deployment.
• Expertise in station-count modelling, throughput analysis, calibration systems, measurement uncertainty, and test-capacity planning.
• Experience with GR&R, gauge correlation, golden-unit governance, and production test validation methodologies.
• Proficiency in test development environments, instrumentation platforms, statistical analysis tools, and advanced Excel modelling.
• Working knowledge of PLM, ERP, and MES systems supporting test specifications, results management, traceability, and manufacturing execution.

Desired Experience Level

• 8-12 years of experience in EOL Test Engineering, Functional Test Development, RF Testing, Manufacturing Test, NPI, or Manufacturing Industrialization within EMS or complex product manufacturing environments.
• Demonstrated experience supporting customer RFQs, technical proposals, test strategy development, and manufacturing solution definition.
• Proven experience developing and deploying functional, parametric, and RF production test solutions for high-volume manufacturing environments.
• Experience in throughput optimization, station sizing, calibration planning, yield improvement, and test-capacity modelling.
• Strong capability to translate incomplete customer requirements into executable test strategies with clearly documented assumptions, risks, and mitigation plans.
• Experience working with global customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams, supported by strong analytical, problem-solving, and customer-facing communication skills.
