Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Manual QA Engineer with over 3 years of experience in software testing. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in API testing and experience validating business rule engine scenarios. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality software delivery through thorough functional, integration, and system testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform manual testing of web applications and APIs.
- Validate business rule engine scenarios to ensure correct logic and workflows.
- Conduct API testing using tools like Postman or similar.
- Analyze requirements and identify test scenarios, edge cases, and risks.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to clarify requirements.
- Participate in test planning, test case reviews, and QA processes.
Required Skills:
- Strong experience in Manual Testing (3+ years).
- Hands-on experience in API Testing (REST APIs, JSON, status codes, etc.).
- Good understanding of Business Rule Engines / Logic Validation.
- Experience with tools like Postman.
- Familiarity with test case management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).
- Strong knowledge of SDLC and STLC.
- Ability to write clear and concise test cases and bug reports.
Good to Have:
- Basic knowledge of SQL for database validation.
- Exposure to automation testing (nice to have, not mandatory).
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Understanding of microservices architecture.
