Job Description – Manual Tester (UPI Payments Domain)

Role Overview
We are hiring a Manual Tester with strong experience in UPI Payments and banking transaction systems. The candidate should have hands-on expertise in testing UPI transaction flows, payment processing, validations, reconciliation, and banking integrations. Experience with NEFT, RTGS, and IMPS will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing for UPI payment applications.
- Validate UPI transaction flows including:
- P2P & P2M transactions
- Collect requests
- Intent flow
- QR-based payments
- UPI mandate / autopay
- Refunds & reversals
- Transaction status & reconciliation
- Test banking/payment integrations with NPCI and partner banks.
- Validate transaction processing, response codes, timeout handling, and failure scenarios.
- Create detailed test cases, test scenarios, and execute test plans.
- Perform API and database validation for payment transactions.
- Log, track, and verify defects using Jira or similar tools.
- Coordinate with Developers, Business Analysts, and Product teams for issue resolution.
- Support SIT/UAT testing cycles and production validations.
Required Skills
- 1+ years of Manual Testing experience in Banking or Fintech domain.
- Strong hands-on experience in UPI Payments testing is mandatory.
- Good understanding of:
- UPI architecture & workflows
- NPCI transaction lifecycle
- Payment reconciliation
- Refund/reversal handling
- Banking/payment systems
- Knowledge of NEFT, RTGS, and IMPS transaction flows.
- Experience with API testing tools like Postman.
- Basic SQL/database validation skills.
- Familiarity with Jira/Test Management tools.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on mobile banking or digital payment platforms.
- Exposure to fintech/payment gateway ecosystems.
- Immediate joiners or candidates with short notice period preferred.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
