Role Summary:
This role demands experienced QA Test Engineer to perform Software/Application Testing which will also include all forms of testing within a fast-paced, agile environment.
Responsibilities:
- Work with software engineers, product analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements surrounding new or enhanced features.
- Analyze requirement documents and design test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, test cases and test scripts that adhere to standards.
- Acquire, manipulate, or create all necessary test data needed for software quality assurance.
- Document software defects, using a bug tracking system and report defects to software team.
- Perform peer reviews of testing artifacts.
- Attend release activities as needed to ensure successful, high-quality product updates.
- As a part of an agile work team, responsible for participating in all scrum ceremonies, assisting in sprint planning, and completing required sprints in the development through final execution of software applications/programs. Communicate any issues/blockers to the Scrum Master in a timely manner. Help in story creation (i.e., DoD, Acceptance Criteria, estimation). Create tasks for their stories in the Agile tool, and update status and assignment accordingly.
- Maintain/update regression test suites on a regular basis.
- Work on performing QA for multiple products at the same time.
Qualifications:
- 5–7 years of experience in Software Testing
- Expertise in Database Testing and SQL queries
- Expertise in Agile methodologies and hands-on experience in an Agile tool
- Expertise in different types of testing – Functional Testing, UI Testing, API Testing, Integration Testing, Negative Testing, Database Testing, and Regression Testing
- Experience with one or more test management tools
- Good communication skills
Preferred:
- Hands-on experience with execution of test automation code as a part of on-going regression testing standards
Shift Requirement:
3 PM to 12 midnight
