Job Title: Manual Tester – Payments Domain (UPI Mandatory)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Manual Tester with strong experience in the payments domain, specifically with mandatory exposure to UPI systems. The candidate should have hands-on expertise in API testing, SQL, and Linux, and a deep understanding of digital payment workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and understand business requirements related to payment systems, especially UPI.
- Design and execute test cases for UPI-based payment flows.
- Perform manual testing including functional, integration, and regression testing.
- Conduct API testing using tools like Postman or similar.
- Validate backend data using SQL queries.
- Work in Linux/Unix environments for log verification and issue analysis.
- Test end-to-end UPI flows such as:
- Collect requests
- Intent flow
- QR payments
- Peer-to-peer (P2P) and peer-to-merchant (P2M) transactions
- Validate transaction lifecycle including success, failure, reversal, and reconciliation.
- Identify, report, and track defects using tools like JIRA.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for issue resolution.
Mandatory Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience in UPI payment systems (must-have).
- Proven experience in manual testing in the payments domain.
- Hands-on experience in API testing (REST/SOAP).
- Strong SQL skills for backend validation.
- Working knowledge of Linux/Unix commands.
- Understanding of payment workflows and transaction lifecycle.
Good to Have:
- Knowledge of other payment systems (IMPS, NEFT, RTGS, Cards).
- Basic automation knowledge (Selenium, RestAssured).
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
Preferred Domain Knowledge:
- UPI architecture (PSP, TPAP, NPCI flows)
- Payment gateway integrations
- Transaction monitoring and reconciliation
