Hiring: Senior Automation Test Engineer
Experience: 6–9 Years
Skills: Selenium + Playwright
Location: Chennai, India
Role Overview
We're looking for a Senior Automation Test Engineer who knows automation inside out and can own test strategy end-to-end. If Selenium is muscle memory and Playwright is more than tried once, this one's for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Selenium and Playwright
- Automate functional, regression, smoke, and integration test suites
- Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and product teams to shift quality left
- Integrate automation with CI/CD pipelines
- Analyze failures, debug fast, and improve test reliability
- Review test cases, mentor junior engineers, and enforce best practices
- Ensure high tests coverage across web applications
Must-Have Skills
- 6–9 years of experience in Test Automation
- Strong hands-on with Selenium (Java/Python/JS)
- Strong hands-on with Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript preferred)
- Solid understanding of test design patterns & frameworks
- Experience with API testing (REST, Postman, RestAssured, etc.)
- Working knowledge of Git, Jenkins/GitHub Actions, CI/CD
- Good grasp of Agile/Scrum methodologies
Good to Have
- Experience with BDD (Cucumber)
- Exposure to Performance Testing (JMeter, Gatling)
- Cloud testing (AWS/Azure), Docker basics
- Cross-browser & parallel execution experience
