Test Engineer

Job Summary**

Cyient, Inc. is seeking a Test Engineer to design, develop, and execute test plans and procedures for various software and hardware systems. This role involves ensuring product quality and reliability through comprehensive testing and defect identification.

Job Responsibilities**

* Develop and implement detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product requirements and specifications.
* Execute manual and automated tests across different platforms and environments.
* Identify, document, and track software and hardware defects using appropriate bug tracking systems.
* Collaborate with development teams to analyze and resolve identified issues.
* Participate in review meetings for requirements, design, and test plans.
* Perform regression testing to ensure previously fixed defects remain resolved and new features do not introduce new issues.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
* Generate test reports and communicate test results to stakeholders.
* Set up and maintain test environments and equipment.

Job Qualifications**

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
* 2+ years of experience in software or hardware testing.
* Proficiency in designing and executing test cases and test plans.
* Experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
* Familiarity with test automation frameworks and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, Selenium) is a plus.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and various testing methodologies.
