The Opportunity
The main role of the Test Operations team is to carry out the cell testing as required to enable the Product Ownership & Validation teams to validate their products at various points in the engineering cycle. Your role in this is to ensure that the specified test installations meet the requirements of the test engineer. Also to ensure that the installations and test tracking is precisely documented for traceability.
Operationally, the team's role is to ensure that all equipment is well maintained, calibrated and suitable for purpose, while also exploring possibilities for improvements in test methodology or processes and experimenting and trialling new equipment to improve efficiency and accuracy. Your role will also include responsibility for a small workshop dedicated to repairing and maintaining the fixtures and sensors for the testing.
Additionally, the Test Operations team has the opportunity to commission and run a new testing facility. Part of your role will be to support the activities in defining equipment, processes and tools for the new site along with helping to grow the team and support junior team members.
