Job Description

OP is partnering with a globally renowned leader in media, entertainment, and consumer experiences to hire a motivated and detail-oriented Test Automation Support Engineer to join their team supporting the Digital Experience organization. This entry-level role focuses on assisting with the configuration, maintenance, and support of the Atlassian ecosystem (Jira and Confluence Data Center platforms) to enhance internal digital tools used by a global workforce.

Working under the guidance of senior engineers, you will collaborate with product and support teams to ensure platform stability and provide timely assistance to employees across international teams. This role offers an excellent opportunity to build technical skills and contribute to improving the overall internal digital experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor qTest and TOSCA system alerts, as well as MS Teams chats for reported issues.
  • Coordinate with on-call support teams (SRE & DBA) for P1/P2 issues and assist in resolution.
  • Troubleshoot and restart application services or servers as needed; resolve environment issues reported by end users.
  • Open support tickets with vendors and collaborate to troubleshoot issues, including pulling Splunk or Windows logs.
  • Monitor environments and applications, including licensing and alerts; install end-user applications for automation or performance testing.
  • Maintain accurate system documentation and follow operational procedures.
  • Provide first-level technical support and troubleshoot issues via service ticket queues.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand requirements and escalate as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to contribute to platform stability and improvement initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field—or equivalent practical experience.
  • Introductory knowledge of SQL and JQL.
  • Understanding of basic software development lifecycle concepts.
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to learn.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality documentation.
  • Experience with production support and tools such as TOSCA and qTest.
  • Basic system administration skills, including troubleshooting and restarting services.
  • Strong communication skills for effective coordination and reporting.
  • Understanding of supported applications and willingness to learn more.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, JavaScript) is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of Agile methodologies.
  • Interest in automation and process improvement.

  • Operates under close supervision and follows established guidelines. Responsible for executing assigned tasks and escalating complex issues to senior engineers.
