About Role/Project:
This position is responsible for software testing of various software products to ensure that high-quality products are delivered to end customers. The role includes executing test strategies, analyzing results, and contributing to process improvements. Additionally, the position may act as a Test Lead on projects, coordinating testing activities and ensuring timely delivery.
Responsibilities:
Software Testing & Quality Assurance
- Conduct software testing on applications.
- Perform system-level testing on software and hardware systems, independently or in a team environment.
- Follow standard configuration management practices.
- Utilize defect tracking tools and monitor QA metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts.
- Implement test processes, including writing test plans, test cases, procedures, and scripts, and analyzing test results.
- Participate in the development and implementation of structured testing methodologies and automated testing tools.
- Identify areas where software quality policies and procedures need improvement or development.
- Resolve and provide solutions to internal and external customer-related issues.
Leadership & Coordination (When Acting as Test Lead)
- Serve as Software Test Lead for programs or projects.
- Manage, coordinate, and communicate software testing activities, schedules, deliverables, and status reports to Project Managers and upper management.
- Attend software planning meetings and project core team meetings from initial planning through development phases.
Collaboration & Communication
- Promote effective communication between Software Engineering and other functional teams.
- Work closely with software developers to assist with issue resolution.
- Attend project core team meetings.
Documentation & Delivery
- Create, maintain, and update Software Verification Plans (SVP) using Use Cases (UC) and Software Requirement Specifications (SRS).
- Ensure release of high-quality software on time and within budget.
- Recommend and implement improvements in software testing processes.
- Manage conflicts and issues effectively, escalating when necessary.
Required Qualifications:
- 2–5 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
Technical Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- High level of computer literacy.
Competencies & Abilities
- Excellent relationship management skills.
- Experience with Windows-based operating systems and PCs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Strong organizational, communication, and testing skills.
- Ability to create and maintain automation frameworks for mobile applications.
- Strong mobile automation testing experience using C# and Appium.
- Hands-on experience in automation testing for Android and/or iOS mobile applications.
- Experience working with Selenium C# automation frameworks (where applicable for hybrid/web components).
- Good to have exposure to Playwright automation with C#.
- Experience identifying mobile elements using Appium Inspector, UI Automator, Test IDs, XPath, and mobile locators.
- Strong understanding of mobile testing strategies including smoke testing, sanity testing, regression testing, and compatibility testing.
