Role Overview
As a Test Automation Specialist, you will design, develop and maintain automated test suites for web, mobile and API applications. You'll ensure the highest quality of our digital banking solutions, partnering closely with developers, QA engineers and product owners in an agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
Automation & Testing
- Build and execute automated tests using Selenium, Appium, RestAssured (or similar) and Cucumber.
- Maintain scripts the enterprise Automation Framework (Javabased).
- Conduct manual testing when required and manage test sets in JIRAXRay.
CI/CD & Collaboration
- Integrate automated tests into the GitLab CI/CD pipeline; manage artefacts via Nexus.
- Provide technical guidance to fellow automation engineers on framework usage.
- Communicate test status, results and defects to the Test Lead, Test Manager and broader project team.
Quality & Feasibility
- Assess automation feasibility for functional test cases.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and test data management.
Required Experience & Skills
Overall Experience
- 7 + years in IT software QA/testing.
API Automation
- Minimum 5 years of handson experience.
- Proficient with Java and tools such as RestAssured, Postman, or equivalent.
BFSI Domain Knowledge
- At least 4 years in the bankingfinancialservicesinsurance sector.
- Experience in personal finance or lending is a strong plus.
Automation Tools
- Selenium, Appium, Cucumber.
- CI/CD pipelines (GitLab) and artifact management (Nexus).
Testing Management
- Skilled in JIRAXRay for test case creation, execution, and reporting.
Technical Skills
- Programming: Java.
- Frontend: HTML, CSS, Node.js, AngularJS.
- Version control: Git.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline.
