Job Description

Architect, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks for web, mobile, API, and backend systems using tools such as Selenium, Katalon Studio.
Create, optimize, and document reusable automated scripts for functional, regression, and load testing, ensuring modular design and code reusability.
Build and integrate automation stacks with CI/CD systems (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps), including automated triggers on code commits and nightly regression sweeps.
Develop custom libraries, utilities, and test data generators in Java, Python, or C#, enabling rapid new test development and coverage extension.
Analyze complex system architectures, identify automation gaps, and propose scalable solutions to increase coverage and maintainability.
Review and refactor existing automation codebase to ensure resiliency, maintainability, and industry coding standards.
Lead hands-on troubleshooting of automation failures, using deep debugging skills and knowledge of API endpoints, and cloud infrastructure.
Collaborate cross-functionally with developers, DevOps, and product teams to resolve test environment, data, and deployment issues.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Test Automation Lead should have:

5-7 years in software test automation, with advanced hands-on scripting in Java, Python, or JavaScript.
Expert-level knowledge of Katalon studio.
Proven experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure.
Strong understanding of test strategy for distributed systems, performance/load testing, API testing, and containerized environments (Docker/Kubernetes).
Ability to review product requirements and transform them into use-case based automated test scenarios.
Technical leadership in design, code reviews, and mentor junior engineers in best practices and advanced scripting.
Experience with defect management, exploratory testing, and reporting using Jira, TestRail, or similar tools.
Excellent documentation, reporting, and communication skills for technical artifacts, test plans, and dashboards.
