Role Overview
We are looking for an exceptional
Test Architect to define, lead, and govern the end-to-end testing strategy for our
Automotive Software Development Platform. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong leadership abilities, and the capability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and global customers.
You will own the overall test architecture across
cloud, data, AI, OTA, ECUs, simulations, and multi-domain automotive systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Test Leadership
- Define and own the end-to-end test strategy for the entire Automotive Software Development Platform (Data Lake, Cloud, AI, ECUs, OTA, Co-Simulation, Supplier Scope).
- Align test strategy with customer goals, product roadmap, and platform architecture.
- Govern test architecture compliance and ensure adaptability to evolving platform features.
- Test Design & Governance
- Architect scalable test frameworks across data governance, dashboards, ECUs, cloud services, OTA, AI modules, and simulation environments.
- Establish standards for test automation, CI/CD integration, web application testing, and vehicle/virtual testing.
- Oversee test data management, environment provisioning, and simulation setup (MIL/SIL/HIL).
- Collaboration & Customer Engagement
- Act as the primary interface for all test-related discussions with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Translate customer requirements into actionable test plans and communicate risks proactively.
- Advocate test best practices and drive a quality-first culture across the product lifecycle.
- Platform Quality Ownership
- Lead quality initiatives: defect prevention, RCA, and continuous improvement.
- Define KPIs, dashboards, and reporting structures for platform quality.
- Ensure supplier-delivered components meet platform test and quality benchmarks.
- Technical & Team Leadership
- Mentor test engineers and ensure continuous skill upliftment.
- Review test case design, automation code, and test coverage metrics.
- Influence technical decisions and drive scalable, future-ready test architecture.
Mandatory Skills- Web Application Testing (MUST)
- CI/CD Testing (MUST) Experience with Jenkins/GitLab/Azure DevOps or similar
- 15+ years of experience in software/system testing with at least 5+ years in test architecture roles.
- Strong hands-on expertise in:
- Cloud-native architectures (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Data Lakes & Big Data pipelines
- ECU testing, automotive diagnostics, OTA
- AI/ML testing and validation methodologies
- Test automation frameworks (Selenium, PyTest, Robot, custom frameworks)
- Virtualization/Simulation platforms MIL/SIL/HIL/Vehicle-level
- Observability tools (Grafana, Kibana, Prometheus, ELK, etc.)
- Excellent understanding of integration, qualification, and release readiness for complex multi-domain systems.
- Strong communication & stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills- Automotive domain knowledge: ADAS, Smart Cabin, Chassis, Powertrain, Connected Mobility.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and ALM tools (JIRA, Polarion, Azure DevOps).
