Experience: 1-3 years in Software Testing & Quality Engineering
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Test Architect to design, implement, and scale our testing strategy across backend and frontend systems. This role will be responsible for defining QA best practices, driving automation frameworks, and partnering closely with engineering teams to ensure high-quality, reliable releases.
You will work with backend systems built on Java and MySQL, frontend applications built using React.js, and an existing QA automation setup using Playwright.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and own the overall test architecture and QA strategy across products
- Design scalable test automation frameworks for frontend and backend systems
- Drive testability, quality standards, and best practices across engineering teams
- Review and improve existing automation using Playwright
- Establish CI/CD test integration, quality gates, and reporting
- Guide QA engineers on automation design, code quality, and coverage
- Collaborate closely with backend, frontend, and product teams during planning and delivery
- Perform risk-based testing and influence release decisions
- Evaluate and introduce new tools, frameworks, and processes as needed
- Mentor and technically lead QA team members
Required Skills & Experience
- 1-3 years of experience in software testing and quality engineering
- Strong experience in test architecture and automation strategy
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks like Playwright and Selenium
- Solid understanding of Java (Springboot), Python (Django) system architecture
- Experience testing REST APIs, databases (MySQL), and distributed systems.
- Strong experience testing React.js or modern frontend applications
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies
- Ability to influence quality across teams without direct authority
Good to Have
- Experience with performance testing or security testing
- Experience building or scaling QA teams
- Exposure to cloud environments (GCP)
- Experience defining quality metrics and dashboards
