Test Architect

Cradlepoint is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Test Architect to ensure high-quality standards across multiple teams within our Cloud Infrastructure product development lifecycle. This pivotal role involves creating comprehensive test strategies, developing robust automation plans, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and optimizing lab usage to reduce R&D costs. You will work across various product development groups and interface with external solution teams, as well as internal experts, to ensure top-tier quality for our live customers.

What You Will Do: Key Responsibilities

• Oversight of Product testing for comprehensiveness, high quality, and testing efficiency, including reviewing Implementation Specifications and Test Plans, and recommending optimizations for test suites and test cases.
• Develop and drive comprehensive Test and Automation strategies, maintaining and evolving them throughout the entire product lifecycle.
• Plan, manage, and optimize test infrastructure, including test equipment, test tools, staging environments, and integration planning.
• Perform hands-on triaging of complex test failures to accurately identify whether issues stem from Test Infrastructure or are true functional defects, collaborating closely with the CI team.
• Review solution test-plans and strategies to ensure thorough product test coverage and optimal efficiency.
• Exhibit strong leadership skills, with the ability to technically influence cross-functional teams, take ownership of initiatives, generate innovative ideas, and drive projects to closure within defined timelines and quality standards.
• Act as a self-motivated, collaborative team player.
• Drive Continuous Improvements of both products and processes within the testing domain.
• Foster Knowledge Sharing and Collaboration on best practices across teams.

Required Qualifications

• Significant software development/testing and automation experience.
• Proven experience in developing Test Plans, Test, and Automation strategies.
• Hands-on experience with Python scripting and Test Automation in EMS/NMS/Domain manager Products (or similar network management/control plane systems).
• Experience with L2/L3 Protocols/Technologies and strong troubleshooting skills for Switching Protocols and Routing Protocols.
• Experience with Virtualization and microservice-based product architecture.
• Knowledge of AI/ML concepts and their potential application in testing.
• Excellent Communication Skills.
• Strong Coaching & Mentoring Skills.
• Flexibility, adaptability, and willingness to learn new technologies to support Cradlepoint's business.
• Ability to work effectively with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience Requirements

• Education: BE/Graduate level in a technical discipline.
