Job Description

Essential Job Functions Responsibilities

  • Develop business growth strategy for assigned territory
  • Orchestrate team selling efforts to successfully capture key accounts
  • Develop, manage, and optimize distributor and agent network across India
  • Achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets by maintaining and expanding customer base
  • Support regional sales and service team and agents to achieve revenue goals
  • Utilize team selling approach to emphasize product/service solutions and values
  • Maintain intimate product knowledge to influence purchasing decisions within customer organization
  • Identify trends/opportunities and coordinate with global sales/marketing organization
  • Implement regional short and long-term regional strategies
  • Identify potential new strategic business opportunities
  • Develop and maintain pipeline of business utilizing CRM tool to ensure that there is sufficient level of new prospects to support growth objectives
  • Ensure regional sales organization is in full compliance with all US and local laws and regulations
  • Measure and report direct sales and sales channel productivities through effective utilization of the CRM tool
  • Provide accurate and timely territory sales forecasts of expected business results to achieve sales goals and objectives
  • Coordinate and provide training activities
  • Support account collection activities
  • Identify and recommend product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential
  • Provide timely response to customers including but not limited to quotes and product inquiries
  • Actively pursue continuous learning and professional development on product knowledge
  • Attend and participate in industry events to promote company products and services
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations to prospective and existing customers

Education Experience Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required, technical degree preferred
  • MBA preferred
  • 5+ years sales and account management experience
  • Language:
    • Fluent business level English required
    • Additional language preferred
  • Must be results focused
  • Strong understanding of the Indian industrial, R&D, and manufacturing market, capital equipment sales experience preferred
  • Experience working with large enterprise, government, or institutional customers is a must have
  • Experience working in a global organization preferred
  • Ability to effectively assess customer needs, present solutions, and close sales
  • Proven ability to independently develop new business and build repeat business
  • CRM experience required
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to self-start and work independently
  • Willingness to travel extensively within India (up to 50% of the time) and occasionally internationally
