TSM Position
Locations: Coimbatore, Hubli/Belgaum, Vizag, Bangalore, Surat, Panaji, Bhopal, Varanasi, Durgapur, Siliguri, Dibrugarh, Patna
Qualification: Graduate in any stream; Diploma Engineer; PG Diploma in Sales and Marketing from a reputed institute.
Experience: Min. 4-5 years plus of sales and marketing & experience in Core Retail Genset Selling
Role Purpose
To drive sales of core gensets in the 5–500 KVA range through dealer channels in the assigned state, ensuring achievement of sales targets, healthy enquiry pipeline, and strong customer and dealer relationships.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Sell core gensets in the range of 5–500 KVA within the assigned state, primarily through dealer channels.
- Develop, implement, and monitor the state sales plan in alignment with business objectives.
- Coordinate and execute sales promotional activities and market communication initiatives.
- Drive and expand the dealer sales network in the state, including onboarding and supporting dealers.
- Plan monthly schedules and report performance to the Market Head through daily, weekly, and monthly performance trackers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, government bodies, institutions, and other key stakeholders.
Key Result Areas (KRAs)
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for gensets in the 5–500 KVA range.
- Maintain a healthy pipeline of enquiries and prospects to support consistent order booking.
- Ensure zero or minimal sales outstanding by closely monitoring collections and payments.
- Secure registrations with major institutions, government bodies, and large buyers as per business requirements.
- Strengthen and grow the dealer channel sales network in the assigned territory.
Additional Requirements
- Strong knowledge of the state market and genset business.
- Proficiency in the local language of the assigned state.
- Basic to intermediate computer proficiency (MS Office, email, reporting tools).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with readiness to travel and meet customers and dealers to achieve goals.
- Basic technical understanding of gensets and related systems.
- Ability to drive and monitor DG OEM products (or equivalent genset OEM offerings).
Desired Profile
- Graduate (preferably in Engineering, Business, or related field) with experience in industrial product or genset sales.
- Prior experience managing dealer channels or institutional sales in capital equipment/industrial products will be an added advantage.
