Role: Field Sales / Business Development Executive – API

Location: Hyderabad (with structured travel across South India)

Reporting To: Founder / Director

Compensation: ₹45,000–₹60,000/month + performance incentives linked to realised sales & collections. Travel reimbursed.

Travel: 10 days/month across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka & Tamil Nadu.

Role Purpose

Drive growth of domestic API business by developing relationships with formulation manufacturers, CDMOs, and CMOs. The role focuses on converting qualified opportunities into trials, first orders, and repeat business with reliable paymaster customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage field relationships with targeted formulation manufacturers and CDMOs across South India

• Conduct in-person meetings to understand product needs, qualification requirements, and purchasing cycles

• Progress opportunities from first discussion to samples, trials, commercial alignment, and first orders

• Coordinate with inside BD to prioritize accounts, track follow-ups, and maintain pipeline momentum

• Support negotiations within approved pricing frameworks

• Build repeat business and identify cross-sell opportunities with active accounts

• Assist with collection follow-ups and flag payment or commercial risks

• Provide market intelligence on competitors, pricing, and customer quality

Ideal Candidate

• 3–6 years experience in API, excipients, pharma ingredients, specialty chemicals, or B2B pharma distribution

• Experience selling to formulation manufacturers, procurement teams, production teams, or CDMOs

• Comfortable with field travel, quotation follow-up, and long-cycle B2B sales

• Strong relationship management and commercial judgment

What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days)

• Structured visits to a defined South India target account list

• Clear meeting outcomes and next actions from every visit

• Movement of key accounts into sample/trial stage

• Strong visibility into high-quality customers and credit risks
