Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of critical electrical systems-including HVAC, WFI, PW, and steam utilities-ensuring continuous availability and minimal downtime.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, FDA, and local safety regulations by conducting internal audits, enforcing work permit protocols, and implementing corrective and preventive actions like Kaizens, Poka-yoke, and OPLs.
- Lead engineering projects from initiation to completion, including resource planning, budget estimation, documentation, and coordination with finance and SCM for timely execution.
- Manage preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance strategies to reduce breakdowns, improve equipment health, and optimize utility generation costs.
- Train and guide the engineering team on maintenance procedures, hazard identification, and safety practices, while fostering a culture of operational excellence and continuous learning.
- Coordinate with cross-functional departments such as SHE, QA, QC, Production, IT, and Finance to ensure seamless maintenance of plant equipment and resolution of CRNs/incidents.
- Implement energy conservation techniques, monitor energy consumption, and drive cost reduction initiatives for spares and machinery through new technologies and systems.
- Prepare and execute equipment qualification and validation schedules-including URS, DQ, IQ, OQ, PQ protocols and ensure documentation compliance through cross-functional coordination.
Educational Qualification
Graduation in Electrical Engineering or related field is mandatory.
Minimum Work Experience
10+ years of experience.

Critical Exposures
- 5+ years experience in roles across Electrical / Plant Maintenance in pharmaceutical or industrial manufacturing is desired.
- Experience in electrical system design, installation, and maintenance for pharmaceutical facilities is desired.
- Experience in electrical systems for critical utility systems like HVAC, compressed air, and water treatment in a pharmaceutical environment is desired.
- Experience with energy efficiency practices and systems, including power quality analysis and electrical metering is preferred.
- Experience with backup power systems such as UPS, diesel generators, and SCADA-based electrical monitoring systems is preferred.
