Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Territory Manager role based in Haryana, India. The Territory Manager will be responsible for driving sales and distribution of ABSLI's life insurance products within an assigned territory, including managing and expanding agency channels, corporate partners, and other distribution networks. Daily activities include planning and executing sales strategies, meeting revenue and productivity targets, monitoring performance metrics, and ensuring high-quality customer service and policy servicing. The role involves recruiting, training, and mentoring front-line sales professionals and channel partners, conducting regular market visits, and organizing customer and partner engagement activities. The Territory Manager will also ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory guidelines, provide market feedback to leadership, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business growth initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in sales and business development, preferably in life insurance, financial services, or related sectors.
  • Strong skills in territory management, channel development, and relationship management with distributors, agents, and partners.
  • Ability to plan and execute sales strategies, analyze performance data, and achieve or exceed business targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in team leadership, including recruiting, coaching, and performance management of sales teams.
  • Solid understanding of life insurance products, regulatory guidelines, and industry practices (IRDAI exposure is an advantage).
  • Comfortable with field work, frequent travel within the assigned territory, and working in a target-driven environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field; a postgraduate degree or relevant professional certification is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and basic sales reporting tools; familiarity with CRM systems is beneficial.
