Job Purpose
- To validate new products through practical application and ensure readiness for market launch.
- To train painters and contractors in product application techniques and support the sales team with technical know-how.
- To act as a technical bridge between product development, marketing, and field teams.
- To manage product trials, complaint resolution, and enhance adoption of focus products via community engagement.
Principal Responsibilities
Product Validation & Application Technique Development
- Coordinate with the product development and marketing teams for new product validation.
- Conduct validation at academies using different application tools and techniques.
- Support marketing in developing new designs, patterns, and shade customizations as per the Product Support (PS) team's requirements.
Community Engagement
- Manage relationships with 100150 painters/contractors in the assigned area to gather market insights.
- Assist TSM PP (Territory Sales Manager Product Promotion) in organizing painter meets and new product demos.
- Maintain continuous interaction with painter communities to ensure feedback loop and loyalty.
Product Training
- Coordinate and execute product training sessions at painter academies and on-site for applicators and contractors.
- Conduct product training for TSMs and SP painters.
- Maintain and update the painter training tracker.
Complaint Handling & Technical Support
- Conduct technical inspections at customer sites, including surface preparation, painting progress, and post-paint inspections.
- Assist TSM PS (Territory Sales Manager Product Sales) in resolving complaints at site level.
- Provide on-site solutions for painting issues and report product feedback to R&D.
- Product failure/rework compensation recommendations to be routed through the supervisor.
Focus Product Establishment
- Implement sampling and testing of new products with painter communities to validate usability.
- Support TSM PP with sampling efforts and technique demonstrations at painter shop meets.
- Share trial feedback and reports with the concerned ASM PA/PP.
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain and submit the following reports on a weekly and monthly basis:
- Product trial reports
- Complaint site reports
- Training trackers (on-site and academy)
