Reports To: Area Sales Manager / Regional Manager

Experience: 2-5 Years in Medical Devices / Surgical Sales / Pharmaceutical Sales

Role Overview

The Territory Business Manager (TBM) is responsible for driving sales, customer engagement, and market development for the company's Medical Devices and Surgical product portfolio within the assigned territory.

This is a pure individual contributor role requiring strong clinical selling skills, hospital coverage, and relationship management with surgeons, OT staff, and purchase teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Achievement Business Growth
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets for assigned products
  • Drive product penetration in hospitals, nursing homes, and surgical centres
  • Identify new business opportunities and convert high-potential accounts
  • Territory Coverage Customer Engagement
  • Conduct regular visits to surgeons, OT teams, biomedical engineers, and purchase departments
  • Demonstrate products clinically inside OT/ICU where required
  • Build strong relationships with key surgeons, KOLs, and hospital decision-makers
  • Product Demonstration Clinical Support
  • Provide hands-on product demos and procedural support
  • Assist surgeons and OT staff during product trials and evaluations
  • Conduct training sessions for hospital staff and channel partners
  • Channel Inventory Coordination
  • Ensure product availability through coordination with distributors/stockists
  • Track inventory, secondary sales, and order execution
  • Maintain strong relationships with channel partners for smooth operations
  • Market Intelligence Reporting
  • Track competitor activities, pricing, and new product launches
  • Submit daily call reports, weekly plans, and sales forecasts
  • Maintain accurate customer data and territory insights

Required Skills Competencies

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Clinical selling ability and comfort working inside OT/ICU
  • Territory planning and time management
  • High ownership, discipline, and result orientation
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools

Education Experience

  • Graduate in Science, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, or related fields
  • 1-3 years of experience in medical devices, surgical consumables, or pharmaceutical sales
  • Experience in OT-based selling or surgical specialities preferred
