We are seeking a skilled Teradata DBA to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database administration, specifically with Teradata, and will be responsible for ensuring the performance, reliability, and security of our database systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Teradata databases, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Perform database backups, restores, and disaster recovery processes.
• Monitor database performance and optimize queries for efficiency.
• Implement security measures to protect sensitive data within the Teradata environment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with development teams to support application database needs.
• Document database configurations, procedures, and changes.

Skills and Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in Teradata database administration or a related field.
• Strong understanding of Teradata architecture and database management principles.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with performance tuning.
• Familiarity with Teradata utilities such as BTEQ, FastExport, and FastLoad.
• Experience with database backup and recovery strategies.
• Knowledge of data security and compliance standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.,
