About the Role

URC Construction Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced Civil Tender Engineer to join our Tendering & Estimation team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in civil estimation, BOQ preparation, quantity take-off, rate analysis, costing, vendor quotation evaluation, and tender documentation for building construction / EPC projects.

The candidate will be responsible for supporting the complete tendering process and ensuring accurate, competitive, and timely tender submissions.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end Civil Tendering & Estimation activities from tender enquiry to submission.
• Study tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQ, scope of work, and client requirements.
• Prepare and review BOQ, quantity take-off, cost estimates, and rate analysis.
• Prepare detailed project costing and tender estimates based on drawings, specifications, and market rates.
• Obtain and evaluate vendor / subcontractor quotations and prepare commercial comparisons.
• Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal departments for tender requirements.
• Prepare comparative statements, rate analysis sheets, estimation summaries, and tender documentation.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure competitive pricing while maintaining project requirements.
• Support preparation and submission of technical and commercial tender proposals within stipulated timelines.
• Review drawings and identify scope gaps, quantity variations, exclusions, and clarifications during the tender stage.
• Coordinate with the execution, procurement, planning, and commercial teams for accurate estimation and costing.
• Maintain proper records of tender enquiries, quotations, estimates, and submissions.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, clarification discussions, and negotiation activities whenever required.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of all tender-related documents before submission.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Civil Quantity Take-off, BOQ, Estimation & Costing.
• Good understanding of Rate Analysis and construction materials / labour costs.
• Ability to read and interpret Civil drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
• Good knowledge of building construction and EPC projects.
• Strong skills in MS Excel and estimation-related tools.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Good analytical, coordination, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tender requirements within deadlines.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in large-scale building construction / EPC projects will be preferred.
• Candidates with experience in pre-contract tendering and estimation will have an advantage.
• Experience handling commercial comparisons, subcontractor/vendor quotations, and tender submissions is preferred.
