Mission Statement:

As a Tender/Quotation Specialist for Power Transformer Business - North America, you will be part of Indian Operation Center in India (INOPC), aiming to develop a global value chain, where key business activities, resources and expertise are shared across geographic boundaries to optimize value for Hitachi Energy customers across market.

You will support tendering activities of Power Transformer Factories in North America & play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless bid submission and order booking. Work location will be based out of Chennai, TamilNadu.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Prepares offers in coordination with the Factory strategy. Ensures appropriate technical and financial aspects of offers, including prices and trading conditions for Domestic market in USA.
  • Ensure timely completion of Risk Review/Frame agreement approvals and full compliance.
  • Support in techno-commercial discussions with customer along with sales team.
  • Assessing customer needs and suggesting appropriate products, services, and/or solutions.
  • Support Sales team in handling customer queries, focusing on volume, mix and profitability targets.
  • Ensures seamless coordination with Engineering team for timely submissions of Bids
  • Book Order & Handing over of awarded projects to Execution team on time with all documentation.
  • Creates added value for the customer and Hitachi Energy and ensures the successful outcome of

transactions, contracts and proposals by using effective sales techniques.

Your Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, with 6 + years of professional experience in Power Transformer Tendering or Front End Sales.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word
  • Proficiency in English language.
