Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Tender Manager role based in Chennai. The Tender Manager will oversee the end-to-end tender process for government and institutional business, including identifying opportunities, reviewing tender documents, and coordinating internal inputs to prepare competitive technical and commercial proposals. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing tender timelines, ensuring compliance with eligibility and documentation requirements, and maintaining accurate records of submissions and outcomes. The role involves close collaboration with sales, finance, legal, and technical teams to align pricing, terms, and product specifications with company policies and market expectations. The Tender Manager will also monitor tender portals, track contract performance milestones, and analyze win–loss data to improve future responses and support business growth in the diagnostic and medical device sector.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience in tender management or bid management, preferably in healthcare, diagnostics, medical devices, or pharmaceuticals.
  • Proficiency in reviewing tender documents, preparing technical and commercial bids, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and institutional requirements.
  • Excellent skills in documentation, contract interpretation, and record-keeping, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams such as sales, finance, legal, regulatory, and technical support.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills for pricing analysis, margin evaluation, and bid competitiveness assessment.
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools (especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and familiarity with online tender portals or e-procurement platforms.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for drafting proposals, clarifications, and internal reports.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related field; a postgraduate degree or MBA is an advantage.
  • Understanding of the IVD/medical diagnostics market and institutional/government procurement processes is highly desirable.
