Job Description

Industry: Renewable Energy Solar EPC sector delivering end-to-end engineering, procurement and construction solutions for utility-scale, commercial and industrial solar projects across India. We operate in project-driven, compliance-focused environments where timely, competitive and compliant bids win large-scale contracts.

Role: Tender Executive - Solar EPC

Role & Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end tender lifecycle: assess RFPs, define commercial strategy, prepare and submit compliant bids on schedule.
  • Prepare BOQs, detailed cost estimates and pricing models by consolidating inputs from engineering, procurement and construction teams.
  • Coordinate vendor sourcing: issue RFQs, obtain and evaluate quotations, and integrate commercial/technical vendor inputs into bids.
  • Draft and review bid documents, commercial terms, scope clarifications and statutory compliance checklists to minimise contractual risk.
  • Manage internal approvals, risk assessments and post-submission clarifications; support pre-bid meetings and technical negotiations as required.
  • Maintain tender pipeline and trackers, update CRM/ERP systems, and hand over awarded contracts to project teams with clear bid-to-execution documentation.

Skills & Qualifications Must-Have

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Instrumentation or related engineering discipline and proven experience in solar EPC tendering.
  • Strong understanding of tendering processes and bid management workflows.
  • Expertise in BOQ preparation and cost estimation for civil, electrical and mounting structure packages.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel for pricing models, bid tabulations and commercial analysis.
  • Experience in vendor identification, RFQ management and comparative evaluation.
  • Familiarity with statutory and regulatory compliance required for solar project bids (e.g., GST, local approvals).

Preferred

  • Experience with AutoCAD or ability to interpret technical drawings for quantity take-offs.
  • Exposure to MS Project or other scheduling tools for simple project timeline estimations.
  • Knowledge of Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) and standard EPC contract clauses.
