Role: Telesales Executive – Ecommerce Solutions (ECS)

Function: Sales (Inside Sales / Telesales)

Location: Mumbai, India

Employment Type: Full-time

Experience: Preferably 2 to 4 years of experience in telesales, field sales, retail sales etc

Salary Band: 5 to 7 LPA based on experience

Role Purpose:

The Telesales Executive – Ecommerce Solutions (ECS) supports national ECS growth by acquiring and activating SME exporters and marketplace sellers through structured

outbound engagement. The role focuses on high-volume outreach, efficient onboarding, and repeat shipment activation and enabling scale.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Lead Engagement & Conversion

  • Conduct outbound calls and virtual engagements with SME exporters, marketplace sellers, and prospective ECS customers.
  • Qualify leads and convert them into onboarded ECS customers.
  • Support national ECS campaigns and marketplace-driven onboarding initiatives.

Customer Onboarding & Activation

  • Guide customers through account setup, documentation requirements, and first- shipment readiness.
  • Support customers during their initial shipping cycles to ensure repeat usage.
  • Coordinate with Operations and Customer Service to resolve onboarding-related queries quickly.

Volume Development & Account Nurturing

  • Drive consistent shipment volumes from long-tail customers through follow-ups and structured engagement.
  • Monitor customer activity and proactively re-engage dormant or low-activity accounts.
  • Escalate higher-potential customers to BDMs where appropriate.

Reporting & Process Discipline

  • Maintain accurate records of calls, onboarded customers, and active shippers.
  • Track conversion ratios and performance metrics in line with ECS targets.
  • Adhere to DGF sales governance, compliance, and reporting standards.

Experience & Background

  • 2–4 years of experience in telesales, inside sales, or customer acquisition roles. Prior experience in logistics, courier, eCommerce platforms, or export-related services preferred.
  • Exposure to engaging with SMEs or small business owners is a strong advantage.

Functional & Behavioural Competencies

  • Strong verbal communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to operate in a high-volume, metrics-driven sales environment.
  • Customer-centric mindset with strong follow-through.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and process-compliant.
  • Comfortable working with CRM systems and structured reporting.
