Telematics System Engineer – Automotive

Location: Pune / Bangalore

Job Description:

o Support system definition and requirements management for Telematics Control Units (TCU)

o Assist in the integration of telematics features including:

• Remote services (lock/unlock, vehicle status)

• SOS / eCall / bCall

• OTA updates and diagnostics

• Fleet and connected services

o Coordinate with Tier 1 suppliers on software deliveries, integration issues, and change requests

o Participate in system integration, bench testing, and vehicle-level validation

o Support testing activities including:

• Connectivity validation (Cellular, GNSS)

• Backend/cloud feature validation

• Network communication validation (CAN, Ethernet)

o Track issues, perform root cause analysis, and ensure closure of defects

o Ensure compliance with OEM development processes and quality standards

o Prepare technical documentation, test reports, and integration notes

Required Skills:

o 3+ years of experience in automotive systems or embedded domain

o Basic understanding of automotive telematics architecture

o Knowledge of:

• Cellular connectivity (2G/4G/LTE), GNSS

• Vehicle networks (CAN, Ethernet)

• OTA and diagnostics concepts

o Experience in system integration and validation activities

o Familiarity with automotive development lifecycle and ASPICE

o Strong communication and coordination skills

Good to Have:

o Exposure to connected vehicle platforms and cloud backends

o Experience working with OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers

o Basic understanding of automotive cybersecurity (ISO 21434 awareness)
