Position: Tele Sales Intern

About the role
We are looking for a proactive and confident Tele Sales Intern to support our event acquisition and guest registration initiatives. The intern will be responsible for reaching out to potential delegates, inviting them to upcoming events, and driving guest registrations through effective telephonic communication.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys speaking with people, has good communication skills, and is interested in sales, business development, and the events industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Make outbound calls to prospective delegates and guests for upcoming events.
- Explain event details, benefits, agenda, and participation opportunities clearly over calls.
- Drive delegate acquisition and guest registrations through telephonic outreach.
- Follow up with interested prospects and convert leads into confirmed registrations.
- Maintain accurate records of calls, follow-ups, responses, and registrations.
- Handle basic queries from prospective delegates and provide relevant event information.
- Coordinate with the internal events/sales team to ensure smooth registration and follow-up.
- Maintain a professional and positive approach while communicating with prospects.
- Share regular updates on lead status, conversions, and challenges with the reporting manager.
Requirements
- Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls.
- Confident, persuasive, and energetic personality.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel/Google Sheets and CRM tools is preferred.
- Ability to handle objections and follow up consistently.
- Strong willingness to learn and build a career in sales/business development.
