Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position for a Tekla Structures Senior Checker based in Coimbatore. The Senior Checker will be responsible for reviewing detailed drawings, models, and designs of structural steel projects to ensure accuracy, compliance with industry standards, and adherence to project specifications. Key responsibilities include verifying connections, ensuring model integrity, mitigating design inconsistencies, and collaborating with modelers, engineers, and project managers for seamless project coordination and delivery.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Tekla Structures software for steel detailing and model checking
- Strong knowledge of structural steel connections, building codes, and international standards such as AISC, CISC, BS, IS code, and OSHA
- Experience in reviewing and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documents
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills for collaboration with engineers, detailers, and project managers
- Experience with miscellaneous steel detailing and handling complex projects
- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related technical field is preferred
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in structural steel detailing and checking
