Qural Talent Nexus is hiring on behalf of our client for a Senior Checker / Team Lead role, based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu (On-site).

Role Summary
The Senior Checker / Team Lead ensures the quality, accuracy, and timely delivery of structural steel detailing projects while leading and mentoring the project team — combining technical checking expertise with project coordination and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead checking activities from drawing review through IFA and IFC deliverables
- Review and verify Tekla models, GA drawings, shop drawings, NC files, and project deliverables
- Ensure compliance with project specs, client requirements, and fabrication standards
- Identify and resolve detailing, constructability, coordination, and fabrication issues
- Review RFIs, technical queries, and design clarifications
- Plan, allocate, and monitor team workloads to meet project schedules
- Coordinate with PMs, clients, engineers, and fabricators
- Lead, mentor, and develop modelers, detailers, and junior checkers
- Drive quality improvement and reduction of rework
Required Skills & Experience
- 8–15+ years in structural steel detailing and checking
- Minimum 5 years as a Senior Checker / Team Lead or similar leadership role
- Minimum 5 years on Australian steel detailing projects
- Advanced knowledge of Australian Standards, fabrication practices, and erection methodologies
- Proficiency in Tekla Structures, model review, and QC processes
- Strong understanding of steel connections, fabrication workflows, and constructability
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
