Role Overview
We are looking for a hands-on TechOps – Service Administrator to manage the reliability, performance, and security of our production infrastructure and on-premise data center environment. This role involves Linux administration, patch management, networking, monitoring, troubleshooting, and infrastructure operations supporting mission-critical fintech platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) in production environments.
- Perform server hardening, user access management, storage management, and system tuning.
- Handle OS patching, security updates, vulnerability remediation, and compliance tracking.
- Troubleshoot system, kernel, network, and application-level issues.
- Configure and manage load balancers, networking components, and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Monitor infrastructure health using tools like Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, or Grafana.
- Support data center operations including hardware coordination, RAID management, and inventory tracking.
- Respond to incidents, perform RCA, and maintain operational documentation.
- Automate routine operational tasks using shell scripting.
Required Skills
- 2+ years of experience in Linux/System Administration.
- Strong knowledge of Linux internals, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs, routing, and firewalls.
- Hands-on experience with switches, load balancers, and production patch management.
- Proficiency in Bash scripting; Python knowledge is an advantage.
- Basic Kubernetes troubleshooting and operational knowledge.
- Comfortable working in on-site data center and rotational support environments.
Good to Have
- Experience with Ansible, Docker, VMware, KVM, or monitoring stacks.
- Knowledge of security hardening and observability tools.
- Certifications such as RHCSA, RHCE, or CCNA.
- Experience in BFSI or fintech environments.
