Role Overview
These positions are on our TechOps team, which is responsible for triaging and resolving production issues across our systems. We need
senior-level engineers with strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills . People who can independently investigate issues in a live production environment, identify root causes, and implement fixes.
Technical Requirements
Core (Must-Have):
- PostgreSQL - Strong proficiency in SQL and PL/pgSQL. Must be able to write, read, and debug complex queries, functions, and stored procedures. This is the most critical skill for these roles.
- Problem diagnosis - Proven experience troubleshooting production systems and tracing issues across multiple layers of a stack.
Required Experience Across Two Environment Types
- Legacy systems - Hands-on experience with Java and Python codebases backed by PostgreSQL databases. Must be comfortable investigating and resolving issues in mature, established systems.
- Cloud-based services (AWS) - Familiarity with AWS infrastructure, specifically experience with Apache Airflow (understanding DAG structure, scheduling, and troubleshooting), Lambda, CI/CD, Postgres RDS.
In Summary
The ideal candidate is a senior full-stack engineer who leads with strong database skills, is comfortable navigating legacy code in Java and Python, and has practical experience with AWS cloud services including Airflow and RDS. Above all, they must be strong problem-finders - not just problem-solvers.
