Job responsibilities
- Maintains and supports application systems critical to business operations
- Collaborates with teams to resolve application and data issues as they arise
- Applies creative and critical thinking to troubleshoot and improve system performance
- Gains exposure to software development, testing, deployment, and production lifecycle methodologies
- Develops meaningful relationships to achieve common goals and contribute to team culture
- Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvement and risk mitigation
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- BS/BA degree or formal training/certification in software engineering concepts and one year applied experience
- Basic knowledge of application development and operational stability
- Hands-on experience in at least one general purpose programming language
- Working knowledge of development toolset to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software
- Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships
- Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Solid understanding of production lifecycle methodologies and risk guidelines
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
- Exposure to cloud technologies
- Interest in learning new coding languages and skills as needed
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment
