As a Technology Support I team member in Commercial and Investment Bank's Markets Tech Team, you will ensure the operational stability, availability, and performance of our production application flows. Be part of the team responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, identifying, escalating, and resolving production service interruptions for all internally and externally developed systems, ensuring a seamless user experience.

Job responsibilities

  • Provide Level 3 (L3) support for production systems, addressing complex issues and ensuring high availability and reliability.
  • Support BAU (Business As Usual) operations for Markets businesses, collaborating with stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems, thinking beyond routine approaches to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Develop and maintain data quality rules and controls to ensure the integrity of business-critical data.
  • Create secure and high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems.
  • Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring design constraints are met during software code development.
  • Gather, analyze, and synthesize data to develop visualizations and reporting that drive continuous improvement of applications and systems.
  • Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data, using these insights to drive improvements and optimizations in system architecture.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 1+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in troubleshooting, resolving, and maintaining information technology services
  • Strong coding skills in Java, Python, and SQL.
  • Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud data management, including Redshift, Dynamo DB, Aurora, and Databricks.
  • Proficiency in automation, CI/CD, and agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge of system design, application development, and operational stability.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience with Unix/Linux and shell scripting.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling challenges in big data environments.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Exposure to one or more general-purpose programming languages or automation scripting
  • Exposure to Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework
  • Familiarity with applications or infrastructure in a large-scale technology environment on-premises or in the public cloud
