About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst to lead data control quality and governance across the Release Workflow, with a strong focus on: Release Gate validation, PMO check & greenlight controls, Azure DevOps data integrity and traceability, Executive-level Power BI dashboards.

Cross-functional monitoring (R&D, Product, PMO, CoS, Executive Committee)

This role ensures that every initiative moving from Intake Planning Execution Deliverables Release Plan Executive Approval is supported by accurate, complete, validated, and auditable data.

The analyst will act as the data quality authority at release gates, ensuring that approvals are based on reliable metrics, aligned OKRs, financial/resource validation, and execution traceability.

Key Position Responsibilities Include:

Release Gate Data Control & Quality Assurance

  • Own data validation framework for all initiatives entering Release Gates.
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of: Business case data, Resource allocation, financial approvals, OKRs, change requests, Risk & dependency logs, Define and enforce mandatory data checkpoints before release plan validation, Develop standardized gate-readiness scorecards.

Azure DevOps Data Governance

  • Act as data quality owner for Azure DevOps.
  • Ensure: Epics, Features, and User Stories align to approved intake and scope.
  • Traceability from requirements execution deliverables release.
  • Proper tagging of initiatives by BU, Product, Tech Center, PMO status.
  • Design validation rules and governance mechanisms.
  • Identify and correct: Inconsistent status flows, missing financial/resource fields, Orphaned work items, Misaligned release tagging, Partner with R&D Managers and PMO to enforce standards.

Power BI Dashboarding & Executive Reporting (Expert Level Required)

  • Design and maintain enterprise-grade Power BI dashboards covering: Portfolio health, Release readiness, Resource capacity vs allocation, OKR tracking, Change management impact, Approval cycle time, Gate rejection causes.
  • Build data models integrating: Azure DevOps, Financial systems, PMO tracking, Intake forms.
  • Create CTO Executive Committee dashboards that support: Greenlight decisions, Financial/resource approvals, Portfolio prioritization.
  • Ensure dashboards are: Automated, Scalable, governed with proper access controls, Documented.

Monitoring, OKRs & Change Management Analytics

  • Aligned with the workflow monitoring function.
  • Release Governance Workflow.
  • Build KPI frameworks for: Delivery predictability, Scope changes, Resource deviations, Schedule slippage, Approval lead time
  • Analyze root causes of: Rejections via PMO, Executive gate returns, Release delays.
  • Provide actionable insights to: PMO, R&D, Product, CoS, Executive Leadership.

Process Improvement & Data Control Design

  • Design standardized data control policies for: Intake forms, Resource plans, Project plans, Release plans.
  • Introduce data quality scorecards across the workflow.
  • Reduce manual reporting and inconsistencies.
  • Establish clear ownership of data fields across teams.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • 7+ years in Data Analytics / Business Intelligence.
  • 3+ years in portfolio governance, PMO analytics, or release governance.
  • Experience supporting executive-level decision-making forums.
  • Strong experience working with: Product, R&D / Engineering, PMO, Finance, Executive stakeholders.
