The group focuses to accelerate digital capabilities through a horizontal, reusable and machine learning enabled analytics platform on which transformative industrial applications are developed and deployed.
As a Product Manager – PA Digital Global Solutions, you will report to the Product Director, PA Digital.
You will be the Product manager for the PA Digital products and own their lifecycle. You will work closely with global stakeholders—business leaders, industry domain experts, user experience, development, quality, release management, tech writing, and with customers. You will represent the Voice of the Customer by maintaining and prioritizing the product backlog in consultation with Product Management, to ensure that the teams maximize business value to all customers.
Main Accountabilities and Duties:
- Provide a vision for the PA Digital Industry Application Suite and its components and communicate to all the stakeholders so that everyone is working towards same objective.
- Collaborate with stakeholders (business divisions, customers, domain experts) units to understand existing solutions, identify gaps, develop functional specifications, and articulate business requirements into features/work items in and integrated solution roadmap. Has worked on Azure IOT services, digital twins, enterprise based analytics applications.
- Develop and maintain an appropriately prioritized backlog of user stories for implementation.
- Work with development teams to ensure that they understand the use cases ; end to end functionality of the product components ; design specialized great features for our clients.
- Work with the UX team to provide valuable guidance in aligning the product functionality with the best in class user experience based on the user personas.
- Work with the marketing/documentation team is developing customer centric brochures, data sheets, product guides and presales collaterals.
- Inspire and motivate the development teams to deliver innovative and exciting solutions with an appropriate sense of urgency.
- Work with key stakeholders across the company to ensure successful mindshare for the products and solutions
Basic Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree inComputer Science, Software Engineering, Industrial Automation, or a related field.
Experience:
- 6+ years of experience in software development for industrial automation, IoT, or enterprise digital applications.
- Prior hands-on experience as a software engineer, developer with a strong understanding of software design, development, and deployment in industrial environments.
Software Development Expertise:
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Python, Java, or JavaScript for industrial applications.
- Experience in developing cloud-based industrial solutions using Azure IoT services, digital twins, and enterprise analytics applications.
- Strong understanding of edge computing, industrial IoT (IIoT), and data processing frameworks.
- Familiarity with SCADA, DCS, PLCs, industrial communication protocols (Modbus, OPC UA, MQTT), and real-time data processing.
Product & Solution Development:
- Proven ability to transition from software development to product management, leveraging technical expertise to define product vision and strategy.
- Experience in developing integrated digital solutions for industrial automation, manufacturing, utilities, or process industries.
- Ability to define functional specifications, prioritize feature backlogs, and drive agile development processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working experience in one of the Asset Intensive Industry like Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Power Generation, Metals and Mining, Paper & Pulp, Marine & Ports etc.
- Excellent influencing and networking skills, paired with stakeholder management experience in a multi-layered, global environment.
- Successful track-record in releasing Digital/Software products/services to commercial operation.
