Job Description

Role Requirements:

  • Curate strong working relationships with stakeholders, business partners and technology teams
  • Drive alignment through effective partnerships with stakeholders.
  • Lead a team of project leads, analysts, engineers, testers, business stakeholders and software vendors across multiple work streams simultaneously.
  • Recruit, hire, mentor, and coach technical staff
  • Manage process, people, and timeline to ensure that high quality deliverables are produced.
  • Demonstrates thought leadership and mentors engineers to leverage technology best practices around architecture and design
  • Technical Manager plays a key role in strategic planning, project execution, development of technology talent, and the ongoing operation and improvement of the capabilities.
  • Ensure your team produces software that meets business and technology requirements.
  • Ensure the right skills are being used to solve the right problems across your team.
  • Champions and enforces software development and operational support processes.
  • Your team comes first. Leadership and development for yourself and your teams to excel in their work is your priority.
  • Identify and remove roadblocks to success.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent.
  • 15+ years in IT/Engineering and 4+ years experience as a people manager.
  • Industry experience in Retail domain is a must.
  • Possess strong team management skills with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated experience making tradeoffs between business needs and technology constraints.
  • Understanding of technological trends and uses this knowledge to bring solutions to business units supported to enhance the enterprise's competitive edge.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with a high degree of professionalism in working collaboratively at all levels of the organization.
  • Challenges the status quo, champions change and influences others to change
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills including collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation
  • Experience in Agile methodologies is highly valued along with project tools like Jira, Confluence, SharePoint.
  • Experience in leading development using Java, Kafka, Microservices framework and AWS or any cloud experience
  • Background and experience in Data engineering teams / leading the data engineering teams
