Job Description

The Technology Lead will be responsible for spearheading the technology strategy at Timesworld, leading a team of talented engineers to deliver innovative solutions that align with the company s business objectives. This position focuses on driving technological innovation, ensuring the scalability and security of the technology infrastructure, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project goals. A deep technical background, proven leadership skills, and the ability to execute a long-term technology vision are essential to keep Timesworld at the forefront of the industry.

Key responsibilities:

Leadership and Innovation

  • Lead the innovation and creative strategy within the technology landscape to ensure competitive products and services.
  • Keep up with the latest technology trends to foster digital transformation.
  • Drive thought leadership initiatives that contribute to organizational growth.

Technical Strategy and Oversight

  • Collaborate with leadership to establish clear goals for technology initiatives and IT deployment.
  • Define and enforce technology standards, ensuring ISO compliance and best practices across the company.
  • Oversee the software development process, ensuring quality and timely delivery while managing project costs.
  • Manage data security, governance, and disaster recovery plans.

Product Development and Client Management

  • Provide technical expertise to advance in-house product development with an emphasis on scalability, resiliency, and innovation.
  • Collaborate with client-facing teams to understand project requirements and propose tailored solutions.
  • Lead infrastructure decisions, ensuring the technical soundness and safety of solutions.

Emerging Technology Integration

  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement new technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and blockchain where applicable to create efficiencies and enhance product offerings.
  • Create proof of concepts (POCs) for emerging technology use cases and oversee their development and testing to drive innovation within the company.

Cross-Functional Collaboration and Partnerships

  • Establish strategic partnerships with external vendors and technology partners to enhance product offerings.
  • Work closely with business development, marketing, and operations teams to deliver cohesive technology solutions that meet client demands.
  • Oversee strategic initiatives and ensure alignment between technology strategy and the broader business roadmap.

Mentorship and Talent Development

  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team by providing guidance on emerging tech trends, tools, and methodologies.
  • Mentor engineering leads and managers to cultivate technical expertise and develop future leaders within the company.

Operational Excellence and Efficiency

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and track team performance to ensure operational efficiency and project alignment with business objectives.
  • Implement process improvements and agile methodologies to enhance team productivity and optimize resource utilization.

Requirements (Qualifications / Experience / Competencies)

15+ years of experience in technology leadership, including software development, IT management, and data security.

  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality technical projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of emerging technologies and best practices in digital transformation.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Hands-on experience with client and team collaboration, solution architecture, and strategic planning.
