Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reusable test automation frameworks for web applications and services.
- Build and execute automated test suites using Java and Playwright.
- Contribute to test strategy, test planning, and quality engineering best practices across the SDLC.
- Develop API, UI, integration, regression, and end-to-end automated tests.
- Leverage Spring and Spring Boot to support test harnesses, mock services, and backend validation.
- Collaborate with software engineers and product teams to understand business requirements and define comprehensive test coverage.
- Identify, document, and track defects work with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
- Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing.
- Ensure quality gates, test reports, and automation metrics are implemented and maintained.
- Review code, test scripts, and automation design for quality, maintainability, and performance.
- Mentor junior QA/SDET team members and promote automation and quality-first engineering practices.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
- Continuously evaluate new tools, technologies, and frameworks to improve testing effectiveness and efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 7-9 years of experience in software testing, test automation, or quality engineering.
- Strong programming experience in Java.
- Hands-on experience with Spring and Spring Boot.
- Strong experience in UI and end-to-end automation using Playwright.
- Experience designing and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch or enhancing existing frameworks.
- Good understanding of test automation for APIs, web applications, and backend systems.
- Exposure to API testing tools and frameworks.
- Knowledge of performance, security, or database testing is a plus.
- Experience with test execution in CI/CD environments.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, test methodologies, and Agile practices.
- Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
