Job Description: This consultant level Infrastructure Engineer would be responsible for automating, building and operating IT hardware and software resources in on-prem, cloud, or hybrid scenarios in support of internal customer needs. They are responsible for a wide variety of activities that orchestrate operations of Linux and Windows-based IT Infrastructure development, such as automation of administrative tasks across large fleets of servers, capacity planning for workloads, configuring and securing the base operating systems, creating, improving, and providing metrics, observability analytics, installing and maintaining security and manageability agents, etc. They would also use cloud and other off-prem offerings to automate integration with cost-efficient solutions such as storage-as-a-service, containers, and Kubernetes that operate the required workloads.

Job Responsibilities:
1. Automate the creation and testing of Windows Server templates for virtual machines and physical hardware using a Jenkins and Tekton CI/CD pipelines
2. Automate the installation, upgrade, and configuration of Windows server Operating Systems, on on-prem and cloud infrastructure using a multitude of tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and PowerShell
3. Automate manual processes associated with infrastructure deployment via GitOps and infrastructure-as-code
4. Manage security requirements, performance optimizations, and technical direction for the Windows Server Operating Systems
5. Provide L3 Engineering support to Operations teams
6. Provide cross-team support for deploying infrastructure to multiple target environments, including on-prem, plant, and cloud.
Additional Experience Preferred: Job Qualifications:
. Bachelor of Science in Computer science, Information Technology or other related discipline. Others are acceptable but require relevant working experience.

Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of progressively growing responsibilities experience in Windows Server OS Engineering and automation, with a working understanding of Linux tools. Licenses and Certifications:
. Technical certifications e.g. MCSA, MCSE, MCP preferred.
Work Requirements: Requires knowledge of the following technologies:
1. Working knowledge of at Ansible and Ansible Automation Platform.
2. PowerShell scripting
3. Understanding of more advanced Windows tools such as IIS and Clustering
4. One or more higher level languages, such as C#, python, ruby, perl, java, groovy, etc to understand maintainability and other software engineering principles
5. Working knowledge of Kubernetes, with OpenShift experience preferred
6. Working knowledge of at least one Pipeline tool, such as Tekton, Jenkins, CircleCI, etc.
7. Understanding of code testing and test-driven development
8. Understanding of virtualization (such as vmware, Openshift, etc) and server hardware hardware (such as HPE, Dell, SuperMicro, etc) manageability technologies.
