Your role

As Technology Engineer - Core Design, your mission is To deliver state-of-the-art engineering services and solutions for the development of core components, products within Atlas Copco group company, while helping Improve the technological advantage of our products and driving the technical competence of the GECIA teams.

You shall achieve this, by developing the technical competence towards deep understanding about core elements, core components, field applications& Technology Platforms.

You will

• Timely execution of various NPI / NPD / Custom projects of core elements.
• Ensure communication at PTM level and demonstrate GECIA's contribution to NPD Projects.
• Promote Cross-Pollination of the technologies, by representing GECIA at various internal, external Technology forums.
• Maintain the Knowledge management Portals, Databases, etc. to document the knowledge about Product, Process, People & Tool.
• Define different CAD automation projects to automate repeated processes & to improve the quality.
• Able to manage multiple projects and deliverables on an aggressive schedule.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to present ideas clearly.
• Formulate the Check lists, Calculation Templates to ensure high quality through process approach.

• BE /B Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Mechatronics or related field with minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in the compressor industry or similar products.
• Good knowledge about both conventional as well as state of the art manufacturing methods (machining, casting, sheet metal).
• Good knowledge of sealing materials & its calculation.
• Good knowledge & understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
• Knowledge of Electro-mechanical components....
• Should have knowledge of Industrial compressor.
• Knowledge of international standards ASME, CE and API standards will be added advantage.
• Ability to understand fundamentals of AC/DC motors (induction, synchronous).
• Knowledge of mechanical design aspects: rotor/stator structure, bearings, balancing will be added advantage.
• Cooling methods: forced air, liquid cooling, heat sink design.
• Knowledge in the field of Drivetrains... will be added advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Communication skills for presenting technical findings and design reviews.

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at our (insert organization here) in Pune, India (IN).
