We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Sr. Associate Director, Control Manager.

In this role, you will:

In this role, you will lead a team of Regulatory Engagement Specialists who work on complex and technical regulatory requests for information relating to your domain area. You will coordinate specialise input, provide direction on response structure and narrative, and ensure that responses accurately reflect the design and operation of controls, processes and systems. You will work closely with control teams, subject matter experts, risk stewards, and market Single Point of Contacts (SPOCs) to resolve technical queries, clarity regulatory expectations, and ensure responses are appropriate quality assured in line with internal standards. As the lead for your specialist domain, you will help shape reuseable content, contribute to cross-team triage decisions, and develop the capability of specialists within your domain.

  • Lead a team of Regulatory Engagement Specialists within your domain
  • Oversee and guide the development of complex regulatory responses, ensuring technical accuracy, clarity and consistency.
  • Work closely with SMEs, control and business teams to gather detailed input and supporting evidence
  • Provide specialist advice during triage, helping determine complexity levels and appropriate routing
  • Ensure all responses progress through the defined QA tollgates, including peer review and assurance steps
  • Review and refine response narratives to ensure they clearly articulate control design, operation and supported by clear and appropriate evidence.
  • Identify trends and enhancement opportunities across your domain
  • Coach, mentor and develop specialists to strengthen domain capability and consistency of delivery

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Deep subject matter expertise in Technology controls, processes and risk management
  • Strong evidence drafting or reviewing complex regulatory responses, audit materials, or assurance documentation
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into clear, structured regulatory responses
  • Proven experience working with control teams, subject matter experts, risk and technology teams
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills, with experience guiding specialist teams
  • Excellent written communications skills and the ability to challenge inconsistencies or unclear information
  • Strong understanding of risk and control frameworks and industry guidelines relevant to your domain (e.g. NIST, COBIT, ISO 27001, ITIL)
  • Ability to manage multiple in-flight, multiple stakeholder engagements in a fast-moving environment.

Desirable Skills / Certifications

  • Experience in regulatory engagements in financial services
