About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Health Care Techno-Functional Subject Matter Expert (SME) to bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions in the healthcare domain. This role requires a deep understanding of healthcare systems, regulatory requirements, and technical platforms to drive strategic initiatives, optimize workflows, and ensure compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) on healthcare IT systems, electronic health records (EHR), revenue cycle management (RCM), and interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR, etc.).
- Work closely with stakeholders to analyze business needs, gather requirements, and recommend technology-driven solutions.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, HITECH, and CMS guidelines.
- Provide functional expertise on claims processing, provider network management, and patient engagement platforms.
Technical & Solution Delivery:
- Collaborate with IT teams to design, develop, and implement healthcare technology solutions.
- Define system integration requirements and work on API-based interoperability.
- Assist in system testing, validation, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and provide resolution strategies for healthcare IT issues and workflows.
Stakeholder & Project Management:
- Serve as a liaison between business teams, IT, and third-party vendors.
- Lead requirement-gathering sessions, create functional specifications, and support project implementation.
- Conduct training sessions and provide documentation for end-users and technical teams.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Healthcare Informatics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in healthcare IT, business analysis, or techno-functional roles.
- Strong understanding of healthcare operations, payer-provider workflows, and clinical data management.
- Hands-on experience with EHR/EMR platforms (Epic, Cerner, Meditech, etc.), claims processing systems, and healthcare data standards.
- Proficiency in SQL, reporting tools, and integration technologies (APIs, HL7, FHIR).
- Familiarity with cloud-based healthcare solutions (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
