Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Business Central Techno-Functional Head to drive end-to-end ownership of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central solutions across the enterprise. This role combines deep functional expertise with strong technical leadership to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing ERP solutions aligned with business priorities.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong track record of leading large-scale ERP transformations, manage cross-functional teams, and partner with business stakeholders to enable digital transformation through the Microsoft ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Practice Leadership & Strategy
- Define and drive the strategic vision, roadmap, and growth of the Dynamics 365 Business Central practice.
- Establish scalable delivery frameworks, reusable assets, and best practices aligned with Microsoft standards.
- Identify new business opportunities, support pre-sales initiatives, and contribute to capability positioning in the market.
- Drive innovation by leveraging the broader Microsoft ecosystem, including Azure and Power Platform.
- Ensure alignment of ERP initiatives with organizational and client business strategies.
Solution Architecture & Integration
- Architect end-to-end Business Central solutions spanning Finance, Supply Chain, Warehouse Management, Manufacturing, Projects, and Service modules.
- Define integration architectures using Microsoft Azure Integration Services, Power Platform connectors, Dataverse, and third-party APIs.
- Oversee AL (Application Language) development governance, extension design, and adherence to Microsoft's AppSource-compliant development standards.
- Lead delivery of complex, multi-entity, multi-currency, and multi-country implementations including localizations and regulatory compliance.
- Champion Agile/Scrum delivery practices using Azure DevOps for project tracking, CI/CD pipelines, and release management.
Delivery & Program Management
- Oversee multiple ERP programs, ensuring on-time, high-quality delivery within scope and budget.
- Establish governance models, delivery frameworks, and quality benchmarks.
- Manage risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations across complex engagements.
Team Leadership & Capability Development
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of functional consultants, developers, and solution architects across all Business Central competency areas.
- Drive a culture of continuous innovation, knowledge sharing, and excellence aligned to Microsoft's cultural values: Growth Mindset, Inclusion, and One Microsoft.
- Conduct structured performance reviews, career development planning, and competency gap analysis for team members at all levels.
Client Engagement & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the Executive Sponsor and trusted advisor for strategic accounts, engaging C-suite stakeholders (CFO, COO, CIO) on transformation roadmaps.
- Lead Executive Business Reviews (EBRs), Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), and success milestone presentations.
- Manage escalations, risk mitigation, and project health with disciplined use of Microsoft's Customer Success frameworks.
- Champion adoption of Business Central's latest capabilities including Copilot for Finance, AI-powered forecasting, and embedded analytics.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of progressive experience in Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Dynamics 365 Business Central implementations and practice management.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale, complex Business Central transformations across diverse industry verticals.
- Demonstrated experience in managing practice P&L, utilization, billing rates, and margin governance.
- Expertise across core Business Central functional areas: Finance, SCM, Inventory, Warehouse, Manufacturing, Projects, and Service.
- Strong proficiency in AL Development, Business Central extension model, and API/web services integration.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps) in the context of Business Central.
- Deep understanding of Azure cloud architecture, Azure AD, and Microsoft 365 ecosystem integrations.
- Experience working within the Microsoft Partner ecosystem (CSP, LSP, ISV) and co-selling with Microsoft field teams.
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing global or distributed teams.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
